List all the ways you can make your New Year’s Resolutions meaningful from these Bible verses:
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6, NASB)
Here is a suggestion, for your consideration: the Bible says that all scripture is profitable for teaching, rebuke, correction and training in righteousness that the man of God be complete (2 Timothy 3:16). Take the above-mentioned verses and ask these four questions:

- "What does it say?" (this is the "Teaching" part, very straightforward, without any interpretation);
- "How do I fail to do what it says?" (this is the "Rebuke" part, requiring a level of personal reflection);
- "What should I be doing?" (this is the "Correction" part, refer back to #1);
- "How am I going to do what I should be doing?" (this is the "Training in Righteousness" part, might require repentance).
